RESEARCH AND POLICY FORMULATION: ECUADOR, EVALUATION OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING POLICY

This study has been sponsored by IDB in order to evaluate the newly financed Housing Program in Ecuador, during the period 1998-2002 (USD 65 million). The assignment was to evaluate key project pivots, in which changes are expected to occur in order to achieve the expected program goals.

Obtaining results were to produce adjustment recommendations, and  a key program factors that monitor program designs, in order to timely correct distortions and avoid program problems  at the national level.
