FEASIBILITY STUDY AND FINAL DESIGNS: THE CITY OF ESMERALDAS MARKET SYSTEM

This study was financed by the Interamerican Development  Bank   (IDB), and  (Municipal Development Program - PDM - National Bank).  Its objective  is  to  design and operate, a new commercial system for the city of Esmeraldas.The city  studies consisted in analyzing the product   supply, through  a  census  that covered all the markets. It calculated the market deficit and its dimensions(4 marketsfor the whole city).  Eight hundred vendors were surveyed for this purpose. Also  location studies, preliminary proposals and final designs for the management and operation of the market system were rendered.
