PROFILE OF HOUSING IN ECUADOR

Profile Study of Housing in Ecuador as part of a new series of studies conducted by UN-supported HABITAT with Research Center for International Development (International Development Research Centre, IDRC). Project objective is to understand the dynamics of the sector of housing provision in Ecuador since 1974 to 2010. The responsiveness of formal sectors meet the needs of housing and services - public and private sector - have not undergone substantial changes in management, financing and construction technology in the last 20 years in order to align with demand always incremental, due to population growth and urban population concentration high.
